Adult Classes
Our classes embody the best of traditional Chinese kung fu training with a modern approach to instruction. Though students are taught in a group setting, they are guided individually through a proven and structured training program.
What to Expect
Most martial arts incorporate solo forms training for learning the basic movements. Wing Chun does as well, but you will spend the majority of the class time working with others to improve your coordination, reflexes, timing and defensive skills.
The ability to "borrow" or "off-load" the force of an opponent is the primary goal. This is accomplished by improving your own strength, flexibility and proprioception to a degree not found in other disciplines.
The Martial Art
Wing Chun (also spelled Ving Tsun and Wing Tsun) is a unique style of kung fu which specializes in economy of motion, borrowing the opponent's force, and proper body-mechanics.
The training is centered around adapting to the opponent by moving in a more coordinated, flexible, and fluid manner.
Once studied by the late Bruce Lee, this style has been featured in the Ip Man (Yip Man) films of recent years.
The Teacher
Master Jeff Webb (6th degree) is our chief-instructor and has over 40 years of experience training and teaching internationally.
Following in the lineage of Grandmaster Yip Man, Master Webb holds the distinction of being one of the few instructors who trained privately with both Grandmaster Leung Ting of Hong Kong and the late Grandmaster Keith R. Kernspecht of Germany.
When not teaching kung fu, Dai-Sifu Webb actively works in the private security industry as a close-protection officer and instructor of defensive tactics and firearms.
He has authored numerous published articles and books over the past 25 years, the most recent being the best-selling Wing Chun Fighting Concepts which was completed last year.
Master Webb is supported by a team of highly-trained advanced level instructors, each with decades of their own experience in the art.
